Elementary Pupils Embark on Enriching Educational Field Trip to Baguio Landmarks 11/7/2025

Pupils from Grades 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 embarked on a memorable Educational Field Trip on November 7, 2025, visiting three of Baguio City’s well-loved destinations: the Botanical Garden, Wright Park, and The Mansion. The one-day excursion began at 7:00 AM and concluded with the pupils’ safe return to school at 12:50 PM.

The field trip provided learners with meaningful experiences that enriched their understanding of science, culture, and history. At the Botanical Garden, students observed various plant species and explored natural environments that reinforced their lessons on biodiversity and environmental conservation.

The next stop, Wright Park, allowed pupils to appreciate local culture, particularly the iconic horseback-riding tradition of the Cordillera region. Teachers took this opportunity to highlight the importance of cultural heritage and community identity.

The final destination, The Mansion, offered students a glimpse into Philippine governance and history. Viewing the President’s official summer residence helped deepen their understanding of national leadership and historical architecture.

Accompanying the pupils throughout the trip were their dedicated advisers and teachers:

Grade 1: Janica Pearl R. Carbon, Grade 2: Rouzana Jen M. Tangonan, Grade 4: Marvelene S. Dalen, Grade 5: Alliah T. Pongonan, Grade 6: Jenny Rose P. Velasco, Subject Teacher: Steven Karl C. Gantala.

Their guidance ensured that the students remained safe, engaged, and well-supported during the entire activity. Teachers also noted how the trip encouraged responsibility, independence, and positive social interaction among the pupils.

With its successful completion, the field trip stands as a valuable learning opportunity—one that strengthened academic understanding while nurturing a deeper appreciation for Filipino culture, history, and the environment.
